Flickr Creative Commons pictures available free for SimpleDifferent users!
It is now possible to choose among 45 million pictures to illustrate your sites. All designated with the Creative Commons Attribution license and available to SimpleDifferent users for free.
How can I use this?
Very simply. Click on a picture, select the “Flickr Creative Commons” icon. Enter keywords and browse photos. When you select one you will be able to edit and crop the photo in the same way that you can edit your own photographs.
What's the catch?
The Creative Commons license allows you to use the photos for free but in return you have to mention the author's name and when possible link back to the photograph's page on Flickr.
SimpleDifferent makes this easy and automatically sets up this link for you. The small, unobtrusive link at the bottom of your page is a great way to show your support for this type of creative sharing.
Want to do even more?
Leave a comment on the photographers Flickr page. Let the photographer and his visitors know where you have used their photo and don't forget to thank them for making such lovely art!
More than just free pictures, The Creative Commons is a different way to share our talents.
